Video Poker Cheats
Video Poker and Slot Machines are physically very similar. The coin and bill validator are the same, the payout systems are the same and the electronics involved are very similar, the differences however are vast when it comes to game play. Because of the similarities most if not all of the cheats on the Slot Cheats page can be applied to Video Poker machines so we won't repeat these cheat here. We will focus on cheats that are specific to Video poker, in fact to two specific types of Video Poker, Jacks or Better and Deuces Wild, possible the two most popular Video Poker machines in existence.Jacks or Better Strategy
When you walk into a casino and head to the section with the Video Poker machines you would be hard pressed not to find a Jacks or Better machine. This game is incredibly popular and rightly so. It has the perfect mix of chance and strategy, if you play this game right you can expect a return of up to 99.5% on a full pay machine and the strategy to achieve this amazing payout is simple. This is the intermediate version of the Jacks or Better strategy and we are using this because it is perfect for a beginner and a player with some experience. The Advanced version is very complicated and unless you are playing Jacks or Better a lot you are best off sticking with this strategy. The beginner version is very rudimentary and has a poor return rate which can be frustrating considering this strategy is simple. Best of all you can print this Jacks or Better cheat out and use it next time you play.
To use this cheat you will want to examine the initial hand dealt to you and determine what the best hand you can make is. Using the chart below compare your initial hand with the options and select the best option available. You will want to start at the top of the chart and work your way down. For example if you had an initial hand of 4s, Js, Kc, 6d, 6h you would have two options, a low pair or a J/K unsuited. Because the low pair is higher on the list that the J/K unsuited you would opt to keep the 6's and replace the 4, J and K. I did just this and I was won $12.50 with a 3 of a kind and 2 pairs (I was playing multi-handed Jacks or Better).

- 10/K suited
- One high card (jack or higher)
- 3 to a straight flush (high cards-gaps=-2)
- Discard everything
Notice that 3 to a straight flush is listed twice on this chart. This isn't a mistake it is important to evaluate the gaps when it comes to a 3 to a straight flush.
Here are some important terms used in the chart above that you might not be familiar with.
High card - refers to a jack, queen, king, or ace. More often than not when these cards are paired up when they are retained and will return the original bet.
Outside straight - This is a straight that can be completed on either end. For example a 4,5,6,7 can be completed by drawing either a 3 or an 8.
Inside straight - This is a straight that is missing a card from inside the run 4,6,7,8 or can only be completed with one card at one end J,Q,K,A or A,2,3,4 all three of these count as inside straights.
Gap - This is the number of cards or gaps that are needed to fill the middle of a straight flush. For example a 3,4,5 would have a gap of zero, a 3,4,6 would have a Gap or 1 and 3,4,7 would have a Gap of 2. A hand that could form a straight flush at either end also are considered to have a Gap or 2. Some examples of these are A,2,3 A,3,4 A,2,4 J,Q,A Q,K,A and J,K,A.
By using this strategy you are sure to maximize your potential profit, playing time and a lot of fun! All the while you have an inside edge to beat the system.

For example being dealt a hand containing 10c, 10h, Kh, 4h, 5s, I look to the chart under the 0 Deuces section and my best option is a Pair so I keep the 10's. When I call for a draw I am dealt a 4 of a kind, a 3 of a kind and a full house which double my initial wager.

An important point to note that if the hand you are dealt is not listed here you should never play it. The most obvious example of this is a hand with two pairs in it. You have a better chance at making a winning hand by keeping on one of those pairs.
